CANDY REDFERN

Candy has worked in business and industry for over 20 years starting her career at Alliance & Leicester in Lincoln. She developed through a management programme to successfully run her first branch aged 20 and her first regional team of Mortgage Advisors aged 23. Candy is an experienced and successful leader herself but found a passion for developing people and was able to pivot to the head office where she led management development programmes for the retail and business networks. She then spent time at Capita where she worked as a Management Development Consultant, delivering ILM accredited programmes to multiple businesses.

Candy has more recently worked for Bidfood where she has run organisation development initiatives, multiple management development and sales programmes and spent the last 7 years of her career leading the Learning and Talent Development provision and team for the organisation where she was part of a team who won multiple internal and external awards.

Candy is passionate about the development of leaders and people managers at all levels and likes to work with businesses that have a genuine desire to make positive changes for their people through more capable and confident people managers, leaders and exec teams. She also loves to champion entry-level employees-especially Apprentices. Candy has a genuine interest in supporting women in business and is currently completing the final year of her MBA at Sheffield Hallam University, where she is writing a thesis on the impact of COVID-19 on women in the workplace. Candy is also a governor at a local school and acts as a mentor to entry-level women looking to find their first HR / L&D role.
